Kodagu is a mountainous district in the Indian southern state of Karnataka, its 260 kilometers from Bangalore. It is well renowned for its friendly inhabitants and fantastic scenery with attractions such as the mountains, woodlands and a wide variety of wildlife.
The forest growth and the hills which look like a necklace of emeralds when drenched by heavy monsoon rains are wonderful sights and the area’s economy relies upon its many coffee cardamom and pepper plantations and also very famous tourism. We people of Kodagu are widely regarded as very friendly people with a cosmopolitan outlook and we are known for their hospitality
Visitor to this bewitching place goes back with evergreen memories. In this lush land live "Kodavas", the inhabitants o Kodagu, having their own richly diverse typical taste, creed, color, language and dress code, whose deeds have been immortalized in history.
